N Gauge Graham FarishFarish 377-006 BR YGB ‘Stingray’ Bogie Hopper Wagon Transrail Grey Brand new item from our new Yorkshire Model Railway shop.
Built by British Rail, these Bogie Ballast Hoppers were someof the largest wagons in the engineer’s fleet. Like most engineer’s wagons,these ballast hoppers received aquatic names and were usually known as Seacowsor Sealions, but in this case the wagon has been branded ‘Stingray’. Used tocarry ballast to work sites where it would be discharged via the chutes at thebottom of the hopper, these Graham Farish models capture every intricate detailof the prototype from the hopper doors to the six separately fitted handwheelsthat controlled their operation. Added at each end are several separatehandrails, along with etched platforms whilst underframe steps and otheradornments are also included. Transrail Grey adorns this example, making a fineaddition to any post-Privatisation scene. MODEL FEATURES:
